Congratulations to the second round of ACDBE Academy graduates with the Department of Aviation and MarketPlace PHL!
The Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (ACDBE) Academy was introduced in June of 2023 with the goal of helping small and diverse businesses understand opportunities within the airport and the benefits of becoming an ACDBE. This round of the academy was conducted from March-August 2024.
Led by the PHL’s Office of Business Diversity and in partnership with MarketPlace PHL, the academy is segmented into four modules spanning over several weeks. The module topics include Airport 101, Identifying and Competing for Opportunities, The Money Module, and Operations. Participants can fully engage by asking questions to gain further insight into day-to-day airport operations.
The following seven businesses graduated from this round of the academy: Amina Restaurant & Lounge, Cheezy Vegan, The Jamaican Pattie Shop, MascotYou, Ms. Dawn’s Kitchen, Puddin’, and Sista Scents.
